Water Bedtime

Today, daddy and I went down to where the river kisses the lake.  We wanted to see how all of the water things get ready for winter.  Everything we saw looked really sleepy.

                What's up, docks?

                 They must be tired

       You and me both, boat buddy!

     Wonder what she's running from

          You better move, daddy!

          There was zero wind today

    This water fountain is hibernating too

    The tall beach grasses were leaning

    This bench was all cozied up, too

         These boats rest upside down
