Help from Above

I'm a pretty good baby.  Mooms and daddy tell me everyday how good I am and how much they love me.  This makes my toes happy.

But then I got to wondering.  "What if I'm spoiling my Mooms and daddy?" Nobody likes spoiled grown ups, right?

So last night, at 3am, I made my move.  I cried the biggest cries I could do.  Daddy came in pretty quick.  I stopped for a second and then I took it up a notch and cried in his face.  We walked around like this for a few minutes, daddy saying, "shhhhh," and me scream crying at his face.

Daddy asked if my teeth were hurting, but he didn't ask me if I had a plan to make him not spoiled.  Silly daddy.

I gave Mooms and daddy a break and let them go back to looking at the baby monitor.

The next morning, I really took it to a new level.  After breakfast, I continued with my scream-crying and made poor daddy try all of his tricks.  He walked me, sang, rocked me, turned the lights off and on, changed me, and even peek a booed with me.  I just kept screaming at his face.

Daddy then put my outside clothes on to go for a walk.  I kept quiet and then when he put me in the stroller, I looked up at his face and screamed at it.

Daddy remembered that on the plane to the old country, we watched cartoons to feel better.  So he took me downstairs and we watched "The Hungry Caterpillar" movie.  As soon as the caterpillar ate the two pears, I continued with my scream-crying.

As daddy was walking me up the stairs, I heard him whisper, "God, help me".

Silly daddy.

Only one diaper later, someone knocked at the door.  Daddy took me to see who it was.  It was a man named Simon and a boy named Nathaniel.  They were nice and asked daddy if they could talk about God with him.  Daddy said, "funny you should ask, but Arik is teething and scream crying at my face".  The nice people gave daddy some things to read and we said goodbye.

"I wonder why that nice little boy isn't at school," daddy said after he closed the door.

        How God can help daddy

As soon as the door closed, I continued to toughen daddy up.  He was a good sport, so I finally agreed to nap and be a good baby.

No spoiled daddy on my watch!

  1. OMG!! What happened and what did you do to Daddy. Look at your puffy eyes, you cried a lot and didn't sleep well.
